Review of Zellies Gum

NOTE FROM ZELLIES:  We post the Q & A From emails to Dr. Ellie here, and hope that you find the information helpful. Dr. Ellie also offers gums, mints and other products through her websites, and we hope you consider making a purchase. While it is not common, like any business, we sometimes get negative reviews and comments. We welcome any and all feedback and hope that you feel that you can be comfortable letting us know if you are dissatisfied in any way.

Here is some recent feedback. We would love your comments.

Hi there. I recently purchased your Zellies Xylitol Gum Fresh Spearmint Gum -100 pieces. I was very disappointed to find that the flavor literally lasted 2 seconds per piece of gum. I would like a refund for this product!

Hi E,

I am happy to refund your money for your Zellies purchase.
Could you tell me where you purchased the product and how you paid for it – was it on line or from a store?

Before you give or throw the Zellies gum away, I want to ensure you know about Zellies and that it is sweetened with 100 percent xylitol.

Xylitol is a miraculous sugar – and its effects on your mouth are instant.

This is why xylitol gum is different from regular chewing gum.

You don’t chew it for the length of time it has a flavor. This gum does not mask bad breath – it cleans “bad breath” germs away – completely!

You chew Zellies gum because it cleans plaque off your teeth.

You chew Zellies gum because it will make your teeth and mouth healthier and cleaner (and teeth whiter!).

To keep flavor in chewing gum, manufacturers have to attach the flavor to some kind of artificial sweetener – like aspartame or sorbitol.

Neither of these products is good for you ( health wise) and sorbitol actually causes plaque to grow and thicken – which gives you bleeding gums and bad breath!

Zellies gum and mints help people have better teeth and better health – naturally.
That is why we do not add any of the artificial sweeteners – and that is why the flavor does not last.

If you chew Zellies gum it will help you protect yourself from the damage of dental disease and plaque.

Best Wishes,
Ellie Phillips DDS
CEO Zellies

The fruity flavor doesn't have much taste either. Haven't tried others, but I think I will stick with the cool mint mints. These do have a nice strong flavor.

Well…I've tried this gum too, and the claim that the flavor only lasted "2 seconds" seems like a bit of an exaggeration to me. I've tried other kinds of xylitol gum and the flavor doesn't last for very long with any other kinds either. If you want more-flavor-for-longer, it's better to go with a mint/candy. But that said, neither the gum nor the candy is really "treat food." I'm using it for therapeutic reasons, and gums and mints just happen to be more convenient when I'm away from home.

Cinnamon may be a good choice!

Please make cinnamon and other flavored mints. I like the fruit flavor but I would like more choices.
