Teen with Bad Teeth

Dear Dr. Ellie:

I am 14 years old and I just got back from my dental checkup and it was worst than usual. I was wondering if you could please send me a sample of anything you can before my mom and a I decide to buy? I am really interested in the complete mouthcare kit, but my mom wants to make sure I like it before we buy it. Thank you so much for your time,

CW

P.S. please tell me if you have any other suggestions

Hi CW and mom:

I am delighted to help you – but if Celeste has deteriorating oral health I think you must start today. I can assure you this system will amaze your dentist at the next check up! (This is why my book describes the system in detail and has a heading “Wow your dentist at your next check up”). I suggest you order the items you need ASAP – and I will provide a money back guarantee that you will like them!

So you can get started I offer the following suggestions: You need to understand three things:

1) This is an infectious disease – Get your family (and anyone you kiss or share food with) involved! Dental disease is infectious- (just like any infection – it spreads from person to person, plus it grows on toothbrushes). Be careful how you clean and store your toothbrushes – (everyone in the family). You need to clean your teeth before sleeping – and again about 12 hours later (morning before school) Of course I suggest you do the entire program – since it will give you such a wonderful clean feeling – and you will love this.

2.) Begin using Closys and regular Original Crest toothpaste today! You can purchase Closys from Walgreens if you want to start right away. Do not add flavor to the rinse ( you will find a flavor bottle in the box – toss this). Closys has no taste – it tastes like water – nothing. I suggest you rinse with this before you brush your teeth( the bottle does not suggest this -so reading the label on the bottle will not help – you would be better to download the diagram on this link: http://www.zellies.com/store.asp?pid=14406&catid=19708).

3) You must have 6-10 grams of xylitol each day – less than this will not reduce the infectious plaque bacteria Zellies are a delicious way to enjoy xylitol. I suggest Zellies mints and/or gum after every meal and snack – but also you can use a packet of granular xylitol in a water bottle and take this to school or on the bus etc. Sip this xylitol-water during the day – and it will provide 4 grams of the needed 6 grams. If you add a few pieces of gum and some mints – it is easy to get to the needed amount. So get started as soon as you can – and let me know if you have any more questions I can answer.

Best wishes,
Ellie Phillips DDS
