Weak Teeth

Hi Dr. Ellie,

My teeth are like chalk I get so many cavities and now 2 root canals. Im glad I found your site and will start on your program immediately. Im wondering if there is some underlying cause-alkaline mineral deficiency in my diet? I have read about people chopping up some greens and a potato and simmering for 20 minutes and then drinking the broth in attempt to alkalize the body..would this be helpful or will the ACT and xylitol be enough? Also I’m wondering if I have scrubbed away much of the enamel on my teeth by using baking soda and hard bristle toothbrush for several months is this possible and have I done permanent damage to my teeth or will remineralization fix the problem? Thanks very much for your time I stumbled upon your site while searching for Closys…

thanks,
 JD

Hi JD,

Welcome to the wonderful world of Zellies!
How lucky you came to this site!

I will tell you a real life story of someone who used to clean his teeth with Comet Cleaner (since it cleaned his sink he decided it would whiten up his teeth).

Comet and Baking soda are similar in many ways both far too abrasive for teeth!

Rodney’s teeth were also like chalk.
They were very white but I knew that it was only a matter of time before they would break into millions of little pieces. The outcome is often teeth that break off at the gum line leaving nothing of the enamel. I warned Rodney that this was going to happen to him if he did not listen to me!

One day Rodney was drinking some coffee when he touched a tooth with his coffee cup and a piece of the tooth splintered off.

That day he started on my Complete Mouth Care System. He has used the whole system routinely every morning and night protecting his teeth with xylitol after every meal, snack, drink etc.

Last winter (in icy Rochester weather) he slipped and fell and hit his entire upper jaw on some railings nothing happened to his teeth.

Recently he bit on a piece of clam shell in his clam/pasta lunch plate and was amazed that nothing happened no damage at all. Rodney is a walking endorsement of what you can do to reverse the damage. His teeth shine, are brilliant white and he loves them.

ACT Original Rinse mint flavor is your friend. Zellies mints and gum are also your friend!
You may want to start with gum because I feel it gets the xylitol to teeth maybe quicker than mints. Mix and match the products to suit your lifestyle.

Read as much as you can on the website and my blog and then feel free to ask any other questions you may have. Please give us a progress report in six months and then again in a couple of years!

You can reverse the damage but start as soon as possible.

Go to the store NOW and get ACT Original Rinse.

Walgreens sells Closys make sure you use only Crest Original toothpaste.

Check out the booklet that explains the system: you can download and follow the instructions.

I would suggest a Zellies toothbrush will be perfect for you but that will take a few days to reach you Mentadent soft is the best alternative. Start NOW with ACT Original Anticavity ( NOT Restore) . Rinse at least twice or three times a day. Use this rinse last thing at night (so a residue stays on your teeth during the night) and also rinse with it for as long as you can tolerate the rinse in your mouth walk around the house with it in your mouth but don’t swallow please!!

Let me know if you have any other questions

Do you drink water or anything during the night? Do you sleep with your mouth open have allergies or anything?

Good luck,

Ellie
