White Spots on Teeth

Hi Dr. Ellie,

Thank you very much for your professional explanations, described in your email.

Reading continuously in details your website I found that one possible cause of the white spots can be dry mouth (as result of the PH etc etc).

For your further information my daughter between the age 2-6 years old often had problem with ear infection. She sleeps with her mouth open -could this cause the white spot?

Regarding your offer to use COMPLETE MOUTH CARE SYSTEM I tried to buy it via internet but there is not in the store for the moment . Do you offered me another treatment possibility or you suggest me to wait for the COMPLETE MOUTH CARE SYSTEM ?

Appreciating your comments and suggestion , I wish you all the best to your family and your professional career

Sincerely
M

Hi M,

I think there is a good chance that the ear infections and sleeping with an open mouth are to blame for the white spots.

I would not worry too much to find the reason in the future consider xylitol and a dilute fluoride rinse to help mineralize these areas.

If xylitol is not available think carefully about ending meals with tooth protective foods like cheese or milk to drink.

If you continue to give her fluoride supplements make sure that she swishes the liquid around her teeth because the benefit to teeth is when this fluoride is in contact with teeth not from ingesting/eating this product.

Ellie
