Calcium and ACT

Dear Dr. Ellie:

I am concerned with ACT and your suggestion to use the rinse more than 1x per day…

What about it being calcium deposits/build up? I know that calcium is in the Act rinse. Right now my cavity is a tiny dot, barely noticeable, but I am still scared about it. I don’t want it to get worse or bigger but I don’t want calcium build-up either. What would you do if you were me?

Dear M,

Unfortunately I am not in any position to give you specific advice about one tooth.

From your letter I would suggest that you use my system and I am certain that it will not harm and may substantially help your teeth.

On the other hand, you seem so concerned about the ACT product I think you may need to find your own solutions.

I have worked on educating patients for many years and can tell that I am talking with a non-believer!

There is no science possible for ACT to damage your tooth. If you are concerned about the label saying use only once a day: I have a suggestion: Why not use half the amount of ACT on each rinse?

You will not affect the outcome since the amount you use is not important. Fill the measuring cup half way each time but use twice a day.

This way you will be using the “recommended amount”.

Hope this helps!
Ellie
