Dear Dr. Ellie:
Thanks for the great talk at our Holistic Mom’s group meeting the other night. In our blog, one of the moms said that xylitol can come from other plant sources such as genetically modified corn. I also know that birches in our area have a major problem with a borer and they often need pesticides applied to keep the borers from killing the trees. Do you know the source of your xylitol? If it is corn, do they guarantee it is GMO free? Thanks for any help you can give on that. We love your products. Are you still selling the Closys?
JT.
Hi JT,
It was really great to spend time with your group on Monday. Thank you all so much for inviting me.
I think that your question is answered on my website at this link:

I believe it is very important to check the source of any food that we eat. I certainly have access to cheaper sources for xylitol but I select xylitol for manufacture of Zellies by quality and not cost.
Only premier source xylitol is used for my mints and gum. I eat these products every day and give them to my family and friends. I believe in quality, goodness and purity even at a higher price.
Please check the web link and feel free to reply if you have any more concerns.
I sell Closys on line at my website http://www.zellies.com/index.asp?category=15642
but no longer in the restaurant. Closys is available in Walgreens. The Walgreens near the new Wegmans on Calkins Road, Henrietta has the 32oz. bottles.
Thanks so much for your question,
Ellie Phillips, DDS
